The Birkhäuser+GBC AG is a self-supporting subsidiary of the «Basler Zeitung Medien» 15 independent firms and three partnerships playing a decisive role are integrated under the name of the «Basler Zeitung Medien». The range of the multi-media activities reaches from the publication of newspapers and magazines, to other printed products and numerous Internet appearances. 


The most well-known published products and media are the «Basler Zeitung», the «Baslerstab»  (a free newspaper) and the Key Media AG.
